Headshot Sessions

We live in an era where a good headshot will highlight your strengths and hide your weaknesses.
It will also give most people an idea of who you are and what you have to offer. A lousy headshot can cost your credibility, and leave you wondering why you aren’t making the new connections or booking the jobs you desire.

About Looks and Setups

So..., what is a look exactly

Different 'looks' refer to the way you present yourself in the images. A look could be but not limited to: casual, elegant, professional, fashion or glamorous. It could also convey or evoque an emotion, a feeling or manner.

Ideally, I like to cover the basic three looks: casual, professional and elegant, but it will all depend on what you want your images to say.

How about a setup?

Setups refer to backdrop changes and/or different lighting setups. Lighting can also have a critical role in the message that comes across the images. For instance: I would photograph an attorney in a very different setup than I would an artist or doctor, but at the same time, I would use a very different lighting pattern and configuration for a civil attorney that I would do for one that only deals with criminal cases and divorces.

The same way I would light a residential real estate agent in a very different manner than a commercial one.
Actors are a perfect example of this: they usually come to me when they are applying for a particular role. This information helps us decide in what way we will set up the shoot (backdrop and lighting) to bring that character out to life.

Hope this helps clarify the differences between the collections. Please keep in mind that not every headshot is the same, and my goal is to go over things with you on the consultation to figure precisely what you need and how we can accomplish it.
